July 1995 IOP

This IOP covers the period from 18 July - 4 August 1995.

The directories are

source : original datasets as delivered from ARM/LLNL/SUNY archives
driving : source data processed for use in driving SCM
observed : other miscellaneous observed variables, derived from source data, for use in comparison with SCM output.

There are 3 versions of the data for this IOP:

Barnes weighted objective analysis, processed by Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories (LLNL). Contact: Ric Cederwall (ric@f4.llnl.gov) or John Yio (john@waltz.llnl.gov).
Variational analysis, processed by SUNY, Stonybrook. Contact: Minghua Zhang ( mzhang@atmsci.msrc.sunysb.edu).
Intercomparison project data prepared by LLNL. Essentially the same as the Barnes weighted objective analysis, but with a few key differences. See the readme in the appropriate jul95_sourcedata/jul95_llnl directory for more details.
